Giving – Trust “Mosaic Mozambique”

“Mosaic Mozambique”; from many broken pieces we create a beautiful work of art.  In Matthew 25  Jesus says: “I was a stranger and you took me in, I was hungry and you fed me, I was in prison and you visited me, I was sick and you took care of me”.

Mosaic Mozambique is a charity to facilitate different ministries brought together to form one beautiful picture of the love of Jesus. The foundation for this ministry is based on two scriptures in Matthew 25 and Matthew 28;

This in practise means looking after the most needy in Mozambique like:

Orphans: the Boys Center, a home, more than 40 boys living as one big family, looked after as sons, from going to school to getting married or getting into a job. The External Orphan Project, the support of the many orphans who live in the communities and have few opportunities.

The widow-project: supporting many (mainly) women who have been deserted or lost their husbands and have big families to care for.

The handicapped-project: building a center for the most rejected of society since the disabled in Mozambique do not receive any support, are neglected and left on the streets. A team of volunteers run a program to develop life skills and bring hope to live a normal life.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      The Primary School: the running of the Maforga Primary School, attended by 600 local pupils, run by a team of 12 teachers and 5 caretakers.

The prison-ministry: teams go in weekly to encourage and bring lunch as they are left by themselves in a group of over a hundred in one room.

The second part is Matthew 28 where Jesus give us the Great Commission: ‘Go out into all the world and make disciples, teach them all I have taught you’

This has been worked out in the Bible School with two one-year courses;

The Leadership School, for pastors and leaders to learn to lead as Jesus did.

The Discipleship School, a course for young people to get to know God, get to know self and to make Him known.

Make Him known is done in “Mission-Mozambique” a vision to have teams visit every village in two provinces with the Gospel to evangelise and to teach the Word of God. In 2012 we have sent out 37 teams.

Mosaic-Mozambique is headed by Kees and Sarah Tanis who have been in Mozambique since 1996 and who are commited to make a difference in the nation of Mozambique. We are looking for financial and prayer support to keep the Mission going.
